Toothache South Valley Oral and Facial Surgery CA 95123-1220If you are having serious pain in the tooth area of your mouth, then it might be time to get that toothache checked. If it is accompanied by a fever, then this could indicate a serious infection that is happening in the mouth that has to be treated.

Infections that are left untreated can cause a serious problem in the body and sometimes this can even lead to death when the infection ends up getting into the blood stream and causing even more problems.

Fever and Pain are Always a Red Sign

Pain in the mouth is never a good thing and it can mean a wide assortment of problems in the mouth. However, if a fever follows, it then this is a serious signal that you want to make sure that you pay attention to.

Do not ignore a fever when you have a serious toothache. Some think that the two have nothing to do with each other, but generally this is not the case. Usually the two work together and are caused by bacteria that is causing the infection.

Do not ignore the warning signs. There may even be a pus pocket filled up on the side of the gums so you want to make sure to watch for something like this, since it is where the infection is being held. This is usually when the root of the tooth is infected and needs to be cleaned out and cared for.

If you think you have an infection in your mouth then it is time to think about speaking with a professional dentist that can provide you with the help you need.

This is the help that you can get when you give us a call and come in for a check up and to have the tooth taken care of.
