How Long Does the Surgery Take?On average, it takes between two and three hours to do the top or the bottom of your mouth, so expect about five to six hours for both. In addition to the procedure, we'll also have a consultation meeting and follow-up appointments. Do I Walk Out of Your Office with Permanent Teeth?All-on-4 implants are done in stages. First, you'll have the surgery to install the posts. You will leave our office with a temporary set of teeth installed on these posts. Your permanent teeth will be crafted when we are certain on the shape, size, and other factors. In most cases, you'll get your permanent teeth in about six months after the surgery. Don't worry—the temporary teeth will function just like natural teeth and will not look strange or cause you any pain. Am I Too Old/Young for Implants?Age plays no part in determining if you can or cannot make use of implants. Your oral health and overall physical health are much more important factors in determining whether or not you're a good candidate for All-on-4. Do the Implants Look Natural?Yes! It's very difficult to tell All-on-4 implants from natural teeth. It's highly unlikely anyone will ever guess you have implants unless you tell them. I Only Need My Top/Bottom Teeth ReplacedThat's not a problem. All-on-4 implants can be installed on either the top or bottom of your mouth or on both. We will discuss your situation and do an in-depth examination of your teeth before recommending the best option. Do I Need to do Anything Special to Implants? No. Unlike dentures, which do require removing and cleaning daily, your implants are permanent. You treat them exactly like natural teeth—brush and floss daily to keep them clean. Want to know more about All-on-4 implants? Call us today! |
